Mosaic Madness has been created to promote the wonderful medium of mosaic.
Maira is passionate about mosaics, and finds inspiration and possibilities in everything she sees, either as something to be covered, or something to be broken. Through the craft every day objects are transformed into unique works of art.
She enjoys creating functional mosaics that people can enjoy in either their home or garden, be it customer commissions to the popular “Garden Angels” and “Flower Fairies”. Her practical pieces are created with a variety of materials ranging from stained glass, porcelain, crockery, and ceramic tiles. By using these durable materials, her mosaics are suitable for both outdoor and indoor usage.
